Social Studies at the Augusta Canal!



It's coming up soon! Our first Social Studies Leaders PLC at The Augusta Canal National Heritage Site will be held on August 21, 2018 from 9AM-3PM! This and other PLC opportunities are designed for any teachers interested in becoming Social Studies leaders in their schools, current Social Studies lead teachers, department chairs, instructional specialists, and curriculum directors.

Don't miss out on touring the museum, a Canal Boat Ride at 10AM, a great session on Critical Thinking in the Social Studies classroom, lunch, and teacher recognition!

*** CSRA RESA, courtesy of Dianne Griffin, has begun a new type of teacher collaboration opportunity called "CoffeeEDU." The first of these sessions will be held at the Harlem Java House on Saturday, August 25th from 9:30-10:30AM. Coffee is not free but the discussion will be rich and you will meet some new educator friends in the process!
