After a successful and fun set of field trip workshops last year focusing on literacy and critical thinking skills in social studies, I am happy to announce our next set of PLC's:
The Tech Toolbox!
Last spring, Social Studies teachers in our 12 districts reached out and expressed interest in learning about how to incorporate more instructional technology into their classes effectively. I sent out a survey asking teachers which instructional technology tools they would like to work with the most and since then I have been hard at work planning these workshops with the interests of our teachers in mind.
Each session is targeted to K-12 teachers. We will meet at CSRA RESA in Dearing, GA from 9-3:30 each workshop day. Participants will be given time within each workshop to begin planning, collaborating, and using what we learn. You can click below to see the full schedule and description of sessions.
September 19th is our first session this year.
We will be learning about and practicing with several Google Apps including Google Classroom, Google Forms, Google Docs, Google Slides, and Google Drawings.
