Lesson Plans

Inquiry-Based. Engaging. Relevant.

Browse through K-12 Social Studies and History lesson plans developed by teacher teams from the CSRA through www.curriki.com

Many of the lesson plans housed at our site right now are structured using the 5E Framework for Inquiry. Some are mini-lessons, week-long lessons, and some unit plans. The Inquiry Questions on the plans are not necessarily the *essential question* for large units but the questions used to engage students in a specific investigation. All lessons "SWIRL" - meaning that each lesson provides students the opportunity to do all or most of the following: Speak, Write, Investigate, Read, and Listen.

Resources from other teachers and websites will be added and linked over the course of the 2018-2019 school year which may or may not be in the 5E format but that are inquiry based and aligned with the GSE.

If you would like to submit a lesson plan to our collection, please contact Crystal Parten at cparten@csraresa.org with subject heading "SS Website."
